Liability coverage on your auto policy protects other people and their property if you are found at fault for causing an accident or damage.
This coverage is required by the State for all vehicles driving on the road.
There are 2 parts to Liability section of your auto policy. The first covers Bodily Injury (damage to people) and the second covers Property Damage (damage to things). Your Bodily Injury will have a limit on the amount of coverage for each person involved in the accident as well as a total limit per accident. Property Damage will have a limit per accident.
We always recommend selecting a coverage limit that will properly protect you in the event of an accident.
Full Coverage generally means having all available coverages on a policy.

Full Coverage generally includes Comprehensive and Collision coverage, as well and rental car reimbursement and roadside coverage.
Comprehensive and Collision coverage is required if you have a loan on your car or if it is a lease.
Collision coverage is coverage for your own vehicle if you are at fault for “colliding” with another object.
This coverage will pay for the repairs to your own vehicle.
This coverage is required by your lender/lease company if you have a loan/lease on the vehicle.
Comprehensive coverage is often referred to as “other than collision” coverage.
This is coverage for your own vehicle and covers things like glass/windshield breakage, objects falling on your car, or objects hitting your car (falling rock, etc). Basically, anything that is not considered a collision will fall into the Comprehensive category.
This coverage is required by your lender/lease company if you have a loan/lease on your vehicle.
